May 7, 2019 – Richard Rohr and the “Universal Christ” – Community Conversation

Franciscan friar, priest, and mystic, Fr. Richard Rohr, has written a new book titled The Universal Christ: How a Forgotten Reality Can Change Everything We See, Hope For, and Believe. In it he seems to be addressing a more universal, cosmic, panentheistic, mystical conception of “Christ,” beyond the historical person of Jesus. On March 28-31, 2019, his organization the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) led a conference on this subject in Albuquerque, New Mexico. One of our board members, Bryce Haymond, attended that conference, and shared some notes and thoughts about one of Rohr’s presentations on his blog, Thy Mind O Human.
